Ethical and Environmentally Conscious Craftsmanship in Cremation Urns and Associated Artworks
dyingarts is seeking talented artists and craftspeople who are passionate about creating exceptional, one-of-a-kind cremation urns and associated artworks in an ethical and environmentally conscious manner. We believe that art has the power to provide solace and support during times of grief, and we are committed to promoting sustainable practices in the creation of these commemorative pieces.
If you are an artist working in ceramics, textile, wood, metal, glass, or any other art or craft discipline that lends itself to the creation of cremation urns, we invite you to join us in this meaningful endeavor. We value the handmade, the creative process and the ability to consider the social/ceremonial nature of this work.
In creating these artworks, we emphasize the use of natural and organic materials and environmentally friendly production methods. We encourage artists to explore sustainable sourcing, recycling, and upcycling practices in their creative process. By incorporating ethical and environmentally conscious approaches, we aim to minimize our impact on the planet while creating beautiful and meaningful art.
We are also interested in associated artworks that complement the concept of commemoration. This could include artists’ prints and cards, memorial bowls, keepsake boxes, or any other artistic expression that provides comfort and support to those experiencing grief.
At dyingarts, we value the preservation of craft skills and the celebration of handmade objects. We believe that by supporting artists who share our commitment to ethical and sustainable production, we can create a positive impact on both the environment and the artistic community.
If you are passionate about creating cremation urns and associated artworks in an ethical and environmentally responsible way, we encourage you to submit your portfolio or samples of your work, via email. Please include an artist statement that highlights your approach to sustainability and ethical production. We also welcome any previous projects or experiences that showcase your understanding of the ceremonial nature of these objects.
Join us in offering bereaved individuals a truly meaningful and environmentally conscious way to honor their loved ones. Together, let us create art that not only touches the heart but also respects our planet.
To submit your work or for any inquiries, please contact us. We look forward to receiving your submissions.
